Advisory Board

Mr. George Todd is a Senior Advisor at Bridgepoint Group Ltd. and Chairs the Utilities business. On behalf of Bridgepoint, Mr. Todd is currently President & CEO of Navitus Plasma, a plasma gasification development company in Ontario.

 

Mr. Todd is a member of the Council for Clean and Reliable Electricity and he was inducted as a Lifetime Member of the Ontario Energy Association.

 

Mr. Todd was the founding President and CEO of Barrie Hydro, and prior, he was General Manager of the Barrie Public Utilities Commission (PUC), responsible for the supply and delivery of water and electricity to the residents and businesses in Barrie.

 

He previously served in the dual senior management positions as Commissioner of Works, City of Vaughan and as Assistant General Manager – Operations, Vaughan Hydro.

 

Mr. Todd served as a ward Councillor in the Township of Springwater from 2000 to 2003, and served as a founding member of the Board of Directors of the North Simcoe Muskoka Local Health Integration Network until November 2007.

 

Mr. Todd is a licensed Professional Engineer. He received his Bachelor of Applied Science (Civil Engineering) from the University of Waterloo and his Master of Engineering (Environmental Engineering) from the University of Western Ontario. He has also participated in continuing education programs at the Queen’s School of Business and the University of Toronto Rotman School of Management.

 

Mr. Leedy is a Senior Advisor with Bridgepoint Group Ltd, where he advises on the origination and project development of various power generation projects.

 

Mr. Leedy manages his own firm, WG Leedy Consulting LLC, where he focuses on sustainability and renewable technologies.


Mr. Leedy has enjoyed a successful career as a senior executive, corporate officer and team leader with more than 30 years of experience in business and project development in the energy and the heating and air conditioning industries. 

 

Most recently Mr. Leedy served as Vice President and Executive Director for non-nuclear generation plant development for Constellation Energy, a Baltimore, MD based Fortune 500 Company.  He played a leading role in the development and acquisition of Constellation's substantial portfolio of renewable projects which include solar, geothermal, wind and hydro technologies.  Mr. Leedy also served as Vice President Business Development for Constellation Operating Services, a Constellation subsidiary and leading supplier of third party power plant operation and maintenance services. 

 

In addition to his 20 year career with Constellation, Mr. Leedy held positions of leadership with Cielo Wind Power, an Austin, TX based wind power development company; Meridian Investments, a Boston, MA based investment bank specializing in energy project finance; Environmental Elements, a Baltimore, MD based supplier of industrial waste to energy and water treatment facilities; Energy Conservation and Controls, a Baltimore, MD based energy management and conservation firm; and Trane, a Lacrosse, WI based heating and air conditioning equipment manufacturer.

 

Mr. Leedy holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from PurdueUniversity and a Masters in Business Administration from LoyolaCollege.

Mr. Carillo is a Senior Advisor to Bridgepoint Group Ltd.

 

Mr. Carillo is currently Vice President Partnerships & International Development, at
SkyPower, and is responsible for developing new domestic and international partnerships.
Formerly a senior corporate lawyer specializing in corporate finance and energy project
development at Bennett Jones in Toronto and Coudert Brothers in New York City, he has represented various Canadian, American and international developers in transactions for the development, construction and operation of major wind parks in North America and Overseas.

 

Mr. Carillo is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the American and Canadian Bar Associations, the American and Canadian Wind Energy Associations (AWEA and CanWEA) and is a frequent speaker in the United States, South America, Australia and China.

 

Mr. Carillo was called to the Bar in France in 1993 and in Ontario in 2001. He holds an LL.B.
in Civil Law from Laval University, an LL.B. in Common Law from the University of
Victoria, and an LL.M. from the Université de Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France). In addition, he holds an Advanced Degree in Economics from the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis (France).

 

Mr. Carillo is fluent in French, English and Italian, and conversant in Spanish.

 

Michael Miceli is a Senior Advisor with Bridgepoint Group Ltd. where he advises on asset and property development and management in Canada and the United States.

 

Mr. Miceli has over 25 years of property management, leasing and development experience.

 

Most recently, Mr. Miceli was a senior executive at Retirement Residences R.E.I.T. (now Revera Inc.). He was responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the delivery of property management, all aspects of environmental stewardship, supply chain and construction. He managed all aspects of capital investment and environmental programs for the Corporation’s Real Estate comprised of 225 Retirement and Continuous Care Communities across Canada and the United States.

Prior to that, Mr. Miceli was a member of the senior executive team responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating the delivery of property and project management, and accommodation services for the government's diverse customer ministries by the Ontario Realty Corporation and its outsourced service providers. There he was responsible for a team of specialists and the Province’s Real Estate comprised of over 6,000 buildings representing approximately 50 million square feet of space and 90 thousand acres of land.

Previously, Mr. Miceli also held senior management positions with Cadillac Fairview and Oxford Properties Group.

 

He currently serves on the boards of BOMA Canada as their Vice Chair and the Children’s Aid Foundation, and he is an active member of BOMA Toronto and the Toronto Board of Trade.

 

Mr. Miceli holds a Bachelor of Administrative Studies degree in Real Estate and Accounting Finance.

Mr. Turner is a Senior Advisor with Bridgepoint Group Ltd, where his primary responsibility is to provide client critical advisory capabilities in managing risk elements to multi-party projects.

 

Mr. Turner brings extensive experience working with complex operational and project risks. He has worked on solar rooftop, brownfield, mine reclamations, water treatment and waste management projects.

 

Previously, Mr. Turner spent 16 years with global risk and insurance brokerages where he managed international clients, led business and product development teams and managed both Environmental and Emerging Products groups.

 

While leading the Environmental Risk team he saw first-hand the importance of corporate responsibility and stakeholder consultation. Mr. Turner worked with clients to develop strategies and risk transfer products for meeting contractual, financial and regulatory obligations. Through this work he was invited to represent the insurance industry as a member of the Toronto Board of Trade Waterfront Task force and the Provincial Brownfield Advisory Panel.

 

Mr. Turner has earned his MBA at the Rotman School of Management and further developed his concentration in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Mr. Turner has also earned his CRM designation.

Anthony Primerano is a Senior Advisor with Bridgepoint Group Ltd. where he focuses on business development, government relations, and sourcing funds.

Currently, Mr. Primerano provides strategic advice and manages political contacts for the largest trade union in North America- The Labourers’ International Union of North America and its Canadian Tri-Fund office represent 900,000 members.

Mr. Primerano has served as Chief of Staff to the Minister of a number of Canadian Departments-– National Defence, Heritage, and Veteran Affairs.

Mr. Primerano has earned both the Governor Generals’ Award and the 2008 University of Toronto Arbor Award.  He also currently sits on the Board of Advisors for Clover insurance, the oldest licensed brokerage firm in Canada, and for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. Currently, Mr. Primerano serves as Chair of the Advisory Board for Integrated Planning and Solutions, a multi-faceted insurance brokerage firm, and volunteers his time as a member of Track3 board of directors, a charitable organization dedicated to providing disabled children with access to skiing.

Mr. Primerano earned a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario, and he resides in Mississauga, Ontario.
